In 1996 eight families and supporters came together with a vision to create a program focused on the needs and priorities of families of children with disabilities. They wanted choice and involvement in their child’s program and with a small amount of funding from the then Department of Ageing and Disability, the group established the first Lifestart program in a single classroom at Turramurra Public School and now the foundation does everything in it’s power to create special events for the publics enjoyment whilst raising awareness for the issues that can affect us all.

So gather around and let out a belly laugh and together we will do all we can for children living with a disability.
