Fashion Week so far

By Christine Assirvaden

One of the most anticipated weeks in Melbourne’s fashion calendar is well and truly here. In light of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival we’ve decided to put together a few of our favourite looks to look out for this season.

As the days are starting to cool down, it’s time to start thinking about a stylish, versatile coat. We couldn’t go past Viktoria + Woods’ Nomadic Long Coat. The oatmeal two tone coat is easy to throw on top of your casual outfit for a complete look. The neutral tones let you step away from your usual blacks but still obtain that relaxed, effortless look for your weekends.

The tailored suit is taking a turn with more low-cut open plunges and ankle grazing tailored trousers. Again we’ve seen these effortless looks that can easily be translated to an outfit for the office by adding in a simple tank to tone it down just a little. We loved Tome’s compilation of the modern day tailored suit from Runway 1.

Peg trousers and waist fitting suits scream more than just sophistication. Show you mean business at your next interview with Dion Lee’s ensemble from Runway 1.
