30+ Bands, 2 Stages, rocking 1 iconic venue! This winter they’re hitting home, and Sydney better be ready!
Fresh in town from its extended tour in Adelaide and Melbourne, UBERfest is ready to rock the walls of this town’s newest hot venue, the relaunched Lewisham Hotel (Sat 16 Aug). If the roaring success of the festival in SA and Vic is anything to go by, the diverse line-up will be lapped up by local music lovers.
This will be UBERfest’s fourth season in Sydney, and the mix of genres will please all audiences. The Billy Hyde Stage will offer mostly hard rock and metal, whilst the Zen Studios Stage will display a tasty range of acoustic acts and some pop/indie bands, which later in the day will be followed by talented hip hop and DJs for a strong finish. With both stages starting at 2pm, and going ‘til midnight, the audience can expect 10 hours indulgence in the best original music of emerging artists from across Australia.
Beginning this season in Adelaide, then going across to Melbourne, and now sweeping up the east coast, UBERfest Winter 2014 will move on from Sydney on 16 Aug to Brisbane on Sat 30 August @ The Jubilee Hotel. In each location, there has been a significant number of interstate bands, performing alongside the best of the local talent.
UBERfest prides itself on giving audiences an up-close and personal experience with the bands they love and the new musicians they will meet, and the choice of venues ensures this intimacy is maintained. The festival has been describe before as giving the crowd the best new sounds in their face! That’s the sort of live experience we all love.
Among the many acts Sydney fans are going to love seeing at UBERfest Winter 2014, are the following bands: 62nd Silence, Blessed & Buried, Ex Curia, Buried With The Rest, Anxiety Falls, Meredith, All For Jesse, Super Monkey Zero, Freesecks, All The Wise, Once Remained, Euryale, Raging Waters, One Day Apart, Simple Stone, Miracle Remedy, DJ Brazza, AFROCHiLD, Pseuko, RDZJB, Heart Of Mind, Another Avenue, Fields of Mars, The Still Shadows, Mike Nayar, Lachy Lyne, J-L Rathbone, Daniel Tomalaris, and After Hollywood.
