Wye River & Separation Creek Bush fire relief
Concert 30th January @ Wye Beach Hotel

On Christmas Day 2015 Santa did not leave presents at Wye River and Separation Creek. Instead a fire ripped through the town. The CFA fought valiantly, and saved many homes. But still the fire ravaged and destroyed 116 homes and damaged the lives of many residents.

To help ease their suffering and rebuild the community the Wye River & Separation Creek Bands Together group announced today that they would be running a Bush Fire relief concert and charity auction.

This would raise funds for the people in Wye River and Separation creek who lost their primary home.

The concert and auction will be held on January the 30th at Wye Beach Hotel.

Angus Greene of the Wye River & Separation Creek Bands Together said that “After so many losing their homes on Christmas Day, the community just needed to band together to support each other and celebrate the great things at Wye River and Separation Creek.

So we decided to have a fun day to raise some money to help those who lost everything. ”

Angus further said “We want everyone to come and celebrate the uniqueness of Wye River and Separation Creek, have fun, and support the community. There’ll be music and something for everyone.”

The concert will feature performances by Perch Creek, Imogen Brough, and Immigrant Union.

Other bands will include Mr Black & Blues, Crepes, Masco Sound System, Little Rabbit, Dreaming Wild and Sagamore.

The auction will include an all expenses trip to the Barossa valley in an MX-5; a Hot Lap at the Melbourne Grand Prix; an architect new home or a home renovation report.

All funds raised will go directly to the relief and assistance of the permanent residents of Wye River and Separation Creek, and to the support of the Wye River CFA.
