Melbourne Food and Wine Festival

4th to 13th March

Melbourne Food and Wine

“It’s no secret that Melbourne loves a good event”.

Yes it’s that time of the year again, where ‘Lady Melbourne’ shines at her glorious best, as foodies in cities and regions around the state prepare for a dose of ‘tastebud dancing’. The program is inspiring, promising a range of dazzling food and beverage experiences for all ages.

Here is just a sample of the fine offerings of this much anticipated annual festival which starts TODAY…

The Festival Hub for 2016 is ‘a rich homage to all things dairy’. The Urban Dairy is open every day of the festival in Queensbridge Square, with ‘a daily rotation of events and menus from expert cheese and ice-cream makers from around the globe’.

MFWF is serving up a diverse range of fantastic events including Regional World’s Longest Lunches (where basically Victoria sits down to lunch!), a City Cellar with 3 days of ‘rollicking fun’ in 21 regions around the state, a River Graze where big and little foodies alike head on a weekend culinary adventure, International Chef Dinners, Masterclasses, Whisky in the Sky and even a Latin American Street Food Fiesta. If that’s not enough to whet your appetite, check out

Australia’s first female owned brewery launch “West-Side Beer”, head for a Five Course Feast of Victorian Produce, A Sense of The Grampians in South Melbourne, a Cheese & Cider

Festival at Werribee Park, or indulge at the Flemington Grazing Trail and Cellar Door.

There’s a great selection of free events too. The Seddon Festival is a heap of fun for the whole family, or head for The Queen Victoria River Trail Market, the Mordialloc Food Wine & Music Festival or the Dandenong World Fare.

This fab 10 day event is bound to once more reinforce the quality and diversity of food and

beverage in Melbourne and regional Victoria. So…’gather your friends and get festive’.
