Prahran Market’s Wicked Chocolate Festival is back for it’s second year in a row and this time it’s double the indulgence for all chocolate lovers! Featuring a stack more exhibitors, tastings, activations, styled chill-out zones and entertainment for the whole family, this year the mighty chocolate festival will spill onto Elizabeth Street making way for even more exciting chocolate delights.
2017’s mouth-watering line-up welcomes back some of last year’s exhibitors and also says hello to some exciting new ones. Doughboys Doughnuts will return for yet another year, debuting its Lamington Doughnut, 400Gradi will be on site dishing up its signature Nutella Calzone, plus a cheeky Margherita Pizza for those in need of a savoury hit. We’ll also have a couple of vegan exhibitors this year, plus Zumbo Patisserie’s Dessert Bar, Fritz Gelato’s cart, and a special Market Lane Coffee & Pidapipo collaboration featuring a delicious Chocolate Ice Cream Affogato – just to name few!
Our very own Market traders will be offering a tempting selection of delights too. Sip on a tasty Choc-inspired Cocktail from our Chapel St Cellars Chocolate Caravan Bar, devour Sweet Greek’s Rocky Road, Paddlewheel’s Choc-dipped Strawberries and Cioccolato Lombardo’s Salted Caramel Lollipops. PLUS Health Bowl’s Cacao Smoothie and Naheda’s Choice’s Turkish Delight and so much more!
Catch Weiss, Daintree Chocolate, and James Hird’s new venture Cacao Hunters at the Producers’ Stage to learn more about the history and manufacturing of chocolate, and snap up some delicious free tastings. Keen chocolate lovers are also couraged to purchase tickets to the Essential Ingredient’s masterclass with Pierre Roelofs before they sell out!
The Omega by Neil Perry Kitchen will be a buzz of activity all day with back-to-back demos featuring our in-house chocolatier Tad Lombardo, plus pastry chef Christie Tania and chocolatier Julie Whitehead and more – all Mc’ed by our brand ambassador Tobie Puttock. Shoppers will also have the opportunity to get involved in the Weiss Chocolate Eating Competition to see who can eat the most chocolate in two minutes!
This year the Market has also teamed up with Very Special Kids with all proceeds from the Chocolate Fountain, Foost – Blend Your Own Smoothie activation and the Bash ’n Splash, all going to charity.
