Tomorrow is French Fry Day and what’s better than French fries? French fries on pizza, of course!
The perfect way to celebrate tomorrow’s delicious date, Johnny Di Francesco, world’s best pizza chef and owner of the Gradi Group is serving up the Pizza Viennese.
While many see a hot chip pizza as the ultimate carb feast, the Pizza Viennese is actually a traditional pizza in Italy. Found throughout the country, the authentic Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizza is topped with fries and wurstel sausage on a fior di latte base.
A family favourite in Naples, the Pizza Viennese was originally created as a way to encourage children to eat properly in public.
“If there’s one thing I love more than pizza, it’s a pizza with French fries on it,” says Johnny.
Available in all 400 Gradi restaurants, it’s the best way we can think to celebrate French Fry Day!
