Just make sure you're being clear about exactly how and what you're doing, because a cool-as-a-cucumber attitude can be misinterpreted as you thinking you're all that and a bag of chips. Letting that certain someone know what's going on with you will get a good response back -- so go for it!
It's a tight time where the pocketbook is concerned, so don't go dropping a bundle on frivolous expenditures -- not with cupboards as bare as yours are! Your mind is rather preoccupied with what you don't have instead of what you have -- so it's not really a surprise when your sweetheart wants to know why you've been ignoring them.
