On Saturday 6 September 2014 from 10-3pm, Kindred Studios invites everyone in to discover its vast suite of creative, learning, production, rehearsal and performance spaces at an exciting OPEN DAY.
Entry and all activities are FREE, including a fun range of interactive, creative workshops for kids and grown-ups, performances by talented local musicians and a professional photography shoot.
Visitors will also be able to pick up a bargain, swap some treats or have an old fashioned haggle with the dozens of Suitcase Rummage market stallholders throughout the day. Kindred Studios is located just 15 minutes from the CBD and 7 minute walk from Seddon Station, at 212a Whitehall St, Yarraville.
The on-site Café on the Park, overlooking Yarraville Gardens, will be brewing fair-trade, organic coffee plus savoury and sweet treats throughout the day and for grown-ups, the Bar of Bengal will be pouring a great selection of local and imported beers and wines.

Kindred Studios is a creative hub in the West housing a diverse range of established and emerging media and arts organisations. Conceived in 2004 as the dream of entrepreneur Simon Hodgson, the facility has become a versatile, multi-faceted performance and production hub encompassing 13 band rehearsal rooms, photographic, video, music, learning and events spaces. Kindred Studios is also the official campus for Victoria University’s Music Program, with over 150 students developing their music industry skills on site each week alongside working industry professionals.
