Taste of Melbourne 13 – 16 November

Melbourne’s ultimate restaurant festival, Taste of Melbourne returns to Pelican Lawn, Albert Park Lake with the city’s most sought after restaurants and the finest food and beverage producers. This year promises a new wave of premium food experiences; with the country’s best chefs conducting unique masterclasses and demonstrations, a traditional Bavarian Brauhaus, a sprawling French-quarter and stellar live music acts; all in the one lively alfresco locale where patrons can relax, socialise and soak up the unique flavours of Taste.

Taste of Melbourne is the discerning foodie’s best chance to experience Melbourne’s latest and greatest restaurants all in the one location. This year’s line-up features a mix of exciting new and returning restaurants including: Spanish institution MoVida; Burch & Purchese Sweet Studio; CBD favourites Brooks Restaurant & Bar and Mamasita; Daniel Wilson’s Huxtable & Huxtaburger; Michael Lambie’s south side venue The Smith and newcomer Lucy Liu; East Brunswick’s Pope Joan; Southbank’s Saké Restaurant & Bar, and many more to be announced.

Visitors will not want to miss the free curing and preserving workshops with local and visiting providores in the Olsson’s Salt Sessions, a unique educational experience presented by the only family owned salt company in Australia. Also new to Taste is the authentic Bavarian beer hall, Munich Brauhaus the ideal location to taste boutique German Beers and signature Germanic dishes.
The Lurpak Cookery School, Dilmah Chef Skillery presented by SBS Feast and Taste Kitchen will all feature inspiring demonstrations and masterclasses from Australia’s leading chefs including: Shaun Presland, Nic Poelaert, Darren Purchese, Frank Camorra and Matt Wilkinson.

The Platinum Garden Bar will be the ultimate garden party underneath the stars, where Platinum Ticket holders can sip French sparkling and soak up the festival atmosphere. Wine lovers can flock to the Plumm Wine Sessions for intimate interactive tastings with leading sommeliers. Rekorderlig’s Beautifully Swedish Cider Bar is back with its upbeat atmosphere and will be the best place to enjoy live music and cold cider.

Taste of Melbourne is one of 22 premium restaurant festivals worldwide, with new Taste Festivals launched this year in Perth and Toronto, and 2015 bringing the launch of Taste of Paris.
