Southgate Moveable Feasts

Melbourne’s winter dining adventure is back for another season, following a well-received launch last year. Southgate Moveable Feastsoffers three courses at three riverside restaurants on Sundays and Mondays from 14 June – 3 August.

 

The program of Sunday lunches and Monday dinners will take food lovers on a meandering journey experiencing each course at a different eatery along the banks of the Yarra River in the heart of Melbourne. Tickets are on sale from today via www.southgatemelbourne.com.au

With a host guiding the journey to each establishment, discoveries will be made along the way uncovering the stories behind Melbourne’s eclectic world of eateries.

 

Southgate Moveable Feasts is an answer to the changing dining trends of today as Melburnians look for new and different casual dining experiences. Melburnians and Melbourne-lovers alike are given the opportunity savour the melting pot of flavours that our city has to offer, sampling unique world-class cuisines from Japanese, Italian and German to Irish and of course Australian, more specifically the pristine produce from our own Tasmania.

 

Southgate Moveable Feasts includes a diverse range of restaurants such as 2014 newcomers Italian restaurant and wine bar Artusi and Bavarian bier hall Hophaus as well as Michelin Star chef led Pure South, which focuses on artisan Tasmanian produce.

 

Southgate is located in the heart of Melbourne; adjacent to the Arts Centre Melbourne on the Yarra River, opposite the sprawling heritage listed Flinders Street Station.

south bank of the Yarra River, directly opposite Flinders St Station.

 

Cost:            

Choose from three course dining options for $65pp or $85pp. Entrée and main courses

each include a glass of wine and dessert is served with tea or coffee.
