The Boatbuilders Yard is throwing a birthday bash for her Royal Highness on Monday 11 June in true British style: an all-out bottomless brunch complete with all-you-can-drink Pimms and teapot cocktails. Rain, hail or shine, guests are invited to huddle within the shelter and warmth of the private decks at Boatbuilders Yard in a patriotic celebration of all things Queen Lizzie.
The British eats will be laid on a-plenty. Expect the likes of cucumber, cream cheese and dill sandwiches, smoked eel mousse tart, black pudding Scotch egg, bangers and mash, ale battered flathead and chips, veg tikka masala, mini Yorkshire puddings with roast beef and horseradish, Coronation chicken sliders, cauliflower soup with parsley and gremolata and to top it all off… England’s favourite dessert, the Eton Mess, made with poached quince, grapefruit curd, rose meringue and orange labne.
To wash it all down with, there will be bottomless Pimms, teapot cocktails, beer, wine and bubbles!
If you fancy a laugh, join in on the Marmite vs Vegemite blind tasting competition which is sure to see punters debating over which is the superior yeasty spread until the sun goes down!
Of course, it’s not a party without live DJs, so get ready to hit the dancefloor with all the British classics – Bowie, Elton and Queen will be pumping out of the speakers at full volume.
Limited tickets are available now, so hustle a crew together and get your Queen’s birthday public holiday sorted in the most British way possible.
