StoryVille set to launch in MELBOURNE!

This September, Melbourne’s CBD is excited to welcome an unforgettable bar to its evening landscape – StoryVille.
Owned by Steve and Keti Thomas – the team behind Pawn & Co. and 29th apartment– StoryVille honours childhood fables and fairytales in an exquisite fit-out that evokes nostalgia and ignites imagination.
James Austin from EAT Music is on board to curate the music offering, & man about town Alex Docherty (The Emerson), will be hosting the giant door of this whimsical venue.
Enlisting the creative vision of designer Josh Lefers (Pawn & Co. & East 9th Brewing), to bring iconic stories to life, the venue boasts a gigantic gold bird cage, magical toadstool bar, Narnia inspired lounge complete with fireplace, and a charming library with exaggerated novels towering overhead.
Created by Adam Bothwell (Tipping the Scales), StoryVille‘s cocktail list is as much a feast for the eyes as the venue’s fairytale fit-out. Cocktails are based around celebrated pieces of literature, from classics to science-fiction and children’s books through the ages.
StoryVille‘s champion cocktails include Mr Pilkington’s Neighbour (an homage to George Orwell’s Animal Farm) featuring pork-chop-fat washed bourbon, apple liqueur and animal crackers, and Through the Looking Glass (based on Lewis Carroll’s synonymous 1871 classic), starring alcoholic Vanilla Cream tea served in a tea pot with dry ice.
StoryVille is located at 185 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne, with its grand unveiling on September 14. StoryVille will be turning its pages Monday to Thursday (4:00pm – 3:00am), Friday (4:00pm – 5:00am), Saturday (6:00pm – 5:00am) and Sunday (6:00pm – 7:00am).
