New hospitality powerhouse the Billy Group continues its rapid expansion across Melbourne with the opening of its 12^th location, Billy’s Central. One of Melbourne’s freshest new cafés, Billy’s Central is opening in perfect time to cater for the influx of shoppers set to infiltrate Melbourne during the busiest retail period of the year.

 Located in prime position next to the busy footbridge that connects Melbourne Central and Emporium, Billy’s Central has a warm, modern interior that offers an informal dining experience. The café’s two seated areas feature wooden accents and greenery flowing into the beautiful light-filled walkway.  

Venue Manager Aldo Lancellotti (Brunetti Carlton) is excited by the new location and predicts a continual flow of foot traffic.

“Melbourne Central and the Emporium are two of the most prominent shopping destinations in the CBD and we are right between the two,” says Aldo. “We’ve adapted Billy’s Central to really give our clientele what they want; stylish ambience, a warm earthy décor and a comfortable environment with high quality and delicious food that is nutritious, uncomplicated and fast.”

 Open from 8:00am daily, the central kiosk offers a range of breakfast and lunch dishes, with take-away options available to suit the busy shopper on-the-go. Dinner is available on Thursdays and Fridays.

 Known for creating crowd pleasing dining options, the Billy Group offers signature dishes across multiple locations alongside feature dishes exclusive to certain venues. One of the highlight dishes available only at Billy’s Central is the summery Citrus Avocado Salad with orange, grapefruit, blood orange, cucumber, avocado, mixed lettuce and zesty lemon dressing.

 “We have made modifications to the Billy’s Central menu to cater for the people who are on the move – whether that be a day of shopping or on their lunch break. We’ve added more menu items that are quick and flavoursome, whilst still maintaining the Billy Group’s vision of only using high quality, fresh, in season produce,” says Billy’s Central Head Chef Anthony Mazzone (ENA Greek Street Food). 

This vibrant new café provides a haven for shoppers to rest and refuel. “The addition of Billy’s Central to the Lonsdale Arcade brings a new dining offering that complements and enhances Melbourne Central’s fashion shopping experience on level two,” says Justin Shannon, Regional General Manger, The GPT Group.

Billy’s Central is located on Level 2, Shop 220A Melbourne Central, Corner of LaTrobe and Swanston Streets Melbourne. The café is open 8:00am – 7:00pm on Monday-Wednesday, 8:00am – 9:00pm on Thursday-Friday and 8:00am – 7:00pm on Saturday-Sunday.
