Oriental Teahouse is excited to announce the launch of their new concept Dumplings for Dating designed to steer couples through a table-sized “getting to know you” board game over delicious yum cha items and fun cocktails. Kicking off on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday 14th February, couples new and old will be subject to the four stages of the game that situates a couple facing each other so that questions are only disclosed to the beholder.

The 4-staged board game is riddled with questions designed to spice up date night. From ice-breakers that ask “what is your favourite dessert?” to questions that probe about wanting children or exposing fantasies, the game can also see a person forfeit their phone for five minutes if couples reach the final stage and select a ‘daredevil’ activity.

A tasty rendezvous not to be missed, Dumplings for Dating welcomes first-timers or couples still in the early stages to the perfect date night idea come Valentine’s Day – the quintessential date night! A three-course meal is all part of the adventure, alongside cocktails tailored to the game. Expect anything to happen, with couples required to select drinks for each other as one of the many twists in motion.

Dumplings for Dating is created by the teahouse’s expert in-house team. Leveraging on the restaurant’s intimate and social setting, guests will be pleased to see signature items such as Chilli Wagyu Beef dumplings and Chocolate Wonka dumplings integrated as key players of the game… Melbourne foodies will also rejoice with the concept staying all year round.

Melbourne’s acclaimed Oriental Teahouse is a household name that provides a world-class teahouse experience that is authentically Chinese but with a modern twist. The space encompasses a day-to-night culinary experience that does not sacrifice the essence of a traditional Chinese teahouse.
